The Valentines Drama

Valentines is so overrated. (Haha! Bitter!)Valentines day is less than a day away. I've never look forward to valentines day til now. Maybe because this is the first valentines day that I have a so called someone special. My friends and family are special and I love them. In fact I enjoyed spending my Valentine last year by having a dinner date at Max's with my friends. This year, I wont be spending the day's night with my friends but with a "special someone". So I'm a bit (a bit nga lang ba?) excited. I really don't want to expect anything because I'm afraid that I'll end up disappointed. I've learned my lesson about expectations. Hehe. Anyway, that's the key to a happy life, keeping expectations low. Or is it expect the worst and hope for the best? I'm not expecting that special someone to give me anything. (and I really don't think he'll go out of his way just to make that day very special. Hehe..) Spending the occasion with him I think is a new experience so I guess that's great. I'm also glad that I don't have to dress up or be pretty that day because he really doesn't care much about looks (what a relief! and by the way that's what I really like about him.)
Like other girls I have my idea of a romantic Valentine. Something that would knock me off my feet. But at at the least, I want to experience receiving flowers, chocolate and stuffed animal in a day. I never had that experience unlike those pretty girls way back in high school or in college (Hindi naman kasi ako kagandahan.. Hehe..) So what I am going to do is make that person experience my dream. This may sound cheesy but true. I want that special person to feel very special that's why I always try my best to go out of my way just to show him how much I value him. So far, I bought a cheap flower (plastic lang.. hehe.. cost cutting) A small bear (super small lang), and I'm planning to add the snickers (which he really likes) that's included in the balikbayan box(basta package.. hehe). It isn't much but it's the thought that counts naman eh. Hehe ( I really believe that you don't have to spend a lot. Just a little creativity and heart for what you are doing. A crappy card would be well appreciated especially if you know that someone put a lot of effort in doing that card just for you). I actually have this basketball container in which I put a very tiny valentines card and little hearts cut out of cartolina which I wrote some notes on that I plan to give him on Thursday but I thought of including the rose, bear and chocolate. I am so melodramatic. Or maybe hopeless romantic? Whatever.

Anyways, I felt like writing these things so I did.

Happy hearts day to everyone.
Loveless or not, it doesn't matter. I used to have fun spending the day with my friends. I hope I'll have a great time this year.(Hope for the best. hehe.) :D
